Hiromi was still working Friday so Mana took us to a Shopping Centre . Some interesting stores. Even the shop dummies were bowing. Hallowen stuff everywhere as well. I spent a long time in Uniqlo. Anita and I then had a quick secret walk around Hiro;s neighbourhood while poor Mana went home to cook more delicious food for us.
Yesterday we were taken to a lovely village which is a sort of mini Kyoto. As it is out of season there were hardly any tourists - great and we wandered about taking many photos, buying herbs and some pottery from a very nice lady and finished in an old fashioned tea house which was from the Edo era about 260 years old. We had a very tradiotional sweet dish made with Azuki beans. No kneeling with low table though the others preferred sitting Western style.
In the evening we went to an Italian restaurant (Japanese variety which is slightly different) and had a lovely meal with lots of wine meaning I am the only one up so far.
Tomorrow we are off to Hiroshima on the Shinkansen. Very exciting
